Anyone still make ITG simfiles?

by BLueSS » Sat Sep 15, 2007 12:52 am

So while we're waiting for the voting to be done, I'm curious to see if there are any simfile artists here that make ITG files still.

And if so, do you make both? Which one do you prefer?

My preference is:

"Files that use StepMania elements well" aka Good ITG files
> "Files that don't use all the StepMania elements but are still good" aka Good DDR files
> "Crappy files that don't use all the StepMania elements" aka Bad DDR files
> "Files that use StepMania elements with all the competence of a retarded hedgehog" aka Bad ITG files

I've proven many times before that some files are just better when played with mines/hands/rolls.

I still make both, though I have been bombed a lot in the recent stepfile contests.

Yes, both, and ITG.

I do, yes, although given that I play DDR myself and know more people who prefer DDR files, I make DDR files more often.

I enjoyed making ITG and keyboard files most when there were appropriate divisions in a certain competition series where I could enter them and have them judged, hint hint hint. :)

I experimented with ITG type stuff a few times, and I do like ITG type files when done well. I have no preference between ITG and DDR simfiles. I just enjoy any simfiles I find fun. I regret not entering the ITG divisions in OSC 4 and 5, btw.

Me too. I also do ITG files. I experiment with the tricks once in a while

I make them, but they'd never appear in ITG because they aren't Foy enough.

On the rare occasion that I write steps anymore, I use whatever features I have available to do whatever it is I want to do with the song.

Surprisingly enough, I like ITG a lot. I don't really make ITG simfiles as much as DDR ones, but I play the game fairly commonly and have a sense of what makes them fun.

Yeah, what #Infinity said. Except get rid of the 'surprisingly enough' part, and replace 'fairly commonly' with 'all the time'.

No. I've made two files with mines, but both were a joke.

I like making both of them. On my last few simfiles on bemanistyle, I've always had heavy mode have DDR style steps, and challenge mode have ITG style steps. I think
I am gonna try making some simfiles eventually with ITG
steps.

I'm not a big fan of ITG.

I'm fairly familiar with ITG steps, especially since I make steps with the guys from http://www.smmix.com, but I deffinately prefer DDR steps. I guess I'm still in the "experimenting" stage with ITG steps.
