The Best of BEST-mix Artists Community Pack

So, I got this neat idea this morning... as we are doing it for last time, why not make it even bigger? :)

Here is the thing - I would like to create a little special pack for all those who have been with BEST-mix for some time. I was thinking that it would be a great idea to create a pack containing our best simfiles - not those from BEST-mixes though - those that we think are our best in our whole simming history.

In previous BEST-mixes I couldn't find 'the awesome song', but somewhere between them I have created some awesome songs that has been released. The main idea behind this pack is to grab those files and put them for a showcase.

Please think about up to 2 of your best files and send them to me, I will create a little pack which will be released together with final results as a little bonus for us all.

Files won't be judged in any way. The main purpose of this is to bring a little more fun to us all.


So here are the rules about this pack:

[list][*] file must be ALREADY SUBMITTED SOMEWHERE and CAN'T BE FROM BEST-mixes, new files go to this BEST-mix and about files from previous ones - we have them already :)
[*] file must be pad song of course
[*] 2 files max. if you have problem with selecting - select your favourite one and one that your friends play most
[*] file need to be high quality - at least 3 difficulties and must follow main guidelines of BEST-mixes (sound quality, graphic quality, etc.), 30MB file size.
[*] only people who have already been in BEST-mix (min. entry in two diffrent BEST-mix contests)
[*] files due: Friday, September 7th

Lisek is looking for our best simfiles that were not submitted to the BEST-mix series, so I would presume DDR OSC files are acceptable. At least, I would hope so, as I was thinking along those lines as well.

I do have a question of my own, though. Are updated versions of old simfiles acceptable, or should they be the original version?

Yes, files from all other contests are acceptable.

About updated files - yes, complete remakes - no (that would qualify as new file).

This is an amazing idea. Just submitted two of my fav files from back in the day, with updated graphics and vaporized left-face-syndrome (goddammit, I REALLY had an issue with this...).

I know two potential simfiles for this, one being a simfile I enjoy while the other is one loads of other people compliment. I'll try to send them in tonight when submitting my official entries.

By not previously released on Best-MIX does it aso include Community packs?

It would be nice if there was an extension, since I won't have access to my complete sim collection in a couple of days.
