The good thing with working as a team is the joint effort and feedback throughout the simfile making process.

So even if you're not "good" at simfiles by yourself, a team setting will definitely help you get better. :)

This sounds like a lot of fun. Also works for me since I can know if my simfiles are offsync.

I am willing to be in anyone's team, since I don't know anyone here that well and I'm desperate to find a team. I will settle for almost any song choice.

It only helps when people have aim accounts.

HOWEVER, I counter propose a better messaging program, Digsby [link] that handles aim, msn, yahoo, icq, myspace, facebook, etc.

I know there are other programs that do the all-in-one such as Trillian and MirandaIM, but Trillian sucks and MirandaIM is hard to use out of the box. Digsby is probably the closest PCs will get to having Adium.

I'd do either, tbh. I have an idea, and have begun cutting songs to give me an idea.

I guess it´s pretty difficult to choose a song with a team, but it´s also hard to see that every members of a team agrees on stepping an arbitriary song that someone from the group had already choose.

A good idea to select songs in a team would be the following:
1.- Every members from the group present a list of 6 songs (1, 2... 9,10, etc if you think neccessary) to apply to be stepped.
2.- The 2 other members evaluates his partner´s list and discard half of them in order to reduce the list.
3.- From this final list, an absolutely random selection* gives the song to be stepped.

You can modify the 2nd part choosing only the songs that you like from your partner´s list and discard the others, if you realized, in the final list wouldn´t appear a song that you dislike.

So, Im totally able to join any group, I´m glad if someone takes me for his or her group

*What I mean with Random Selection is any sort of system that avoid bias in selection, such as writing the songs´ name in a piece of paper and someone out from the team pick one and see which song succeed.

Is it really that hard for some people? In all the collabs I've done (many) we've never run into a problem finding a song we agree on.

No, only two, but it can't be that much harder for three. Each person gets up to three teams anyway, it's not like they only have -one- chance to get to step the song they really want.
