RESULTS - Bracket 1
Wow! I'm actually pretty happy with the files that made it through to the next round. The reviews were indeed accurate, but not necessarily the places. Instead, and more importantly, the files that moved on were nearly all that I thought deserved to proceed to Round 2.

I'm getting a bit tired of people thinking that easier files are given some sort of special treatment. If the steps are good and the presentation is good, then it doesn't matter if your top foot rating is 6 or 10 - people will vote for it and it will do well.
I can only use Revisited: Video Games Mix from DDRExtreme.co.uk at the moment as that's what I've played the most over the past week, but there is a file in that contest called Heavenly Star with a fairly low BPM and 6 foot Heavy steps that I love. At the same time, Kewing Darksun entered an awesome Time For Kill with very complex 8 foot Heavy steps that blew me away. The point I'm trying to make is that the vast majority of people here (I believe) can and will appreciate a wide range of music and a wide range of step styles and difficulties.

I can't remember the last 9 footer that won a contest. Rock Mix doesn't count cuz every file was a 9. Everyone is too concerned with "forced doublestepping". News flash, no one is forcing you to double step - that's your own bad habit and as you can see from the hidden euromix 2 songs i just released apparently Konami doesn't know how to write charts either because they do it too!
True stepchart talent is that you can make 5 footers AND 9 footers and they can be equally fun and good. Most of you are incapable of that and you look down on files for having merely two consecutive arrows in the same direction and a few 16ths. It makes me wonder how Konami original files would have been rated in a contest. I'm sure witch doctor or flash in the night would have been last place in any contest because they are too hard.
I'm not supporting hard files only, I believe in variety. I can step both slow and fast. Can anyone else?

To be a good stepper, you pretty much have to.Raf wrote:I'm not supporting hard files only, I believe in variety. I can step both slow and fast. Can anyone else?
