OTSO OTSO seems like it's pretty easy to get a great when attempting to AAA the song.

I still love the bg changes.

4 Minutes
Light:5/5 Perfect
Standard:3/5 Kind of abusing the freezes and and consecutive arrow taps aren't we?
Heavy:8/10 Not too bad. Not one of the greatest charts I've played, but definitely not the worst. I'm sorry that there isn't more I can say. It wasn't mind blowing nor was it bad.
Presentation:3/5 Graphics are alright. Not a big fan of thick black strokes.
TOTAL:19/25

Dynamite
Light:5/5 Perfect
Standard:5/5 This is actually more of a solid chart than heavy.
Heavy:6/10 I like the beats you took advantage of, but it's like you didn't pay attention to which way the player would be facing or how they would have to move their feet to keep up.
Presentation:2/5 Graphics could have been a lot better overall if the text was handled differently. Why not try to do the Erotic logo like Konami does?
TOTAL:18/25

Loveline (DJ Piccolo Remix)
Light:5/5 Perfect
Standard:5/5 I enjoyed this more than heavy.
Heavy:6/10 This comes off as a novice attempt. I'm sure everyone can agree that in their first simfile we all abused the half bpm like it was the new flavor of Gatorade. I didn't enjoy that every step in the slowdown went with the vocals. I think it would have been best to not even include that part of the song.
Presentation:3/5 That font you used is too loud. Sometimes the simplest fonts look the best if you style them right. I didn't care for the way this song faded out either.
TOTAL:19/25

oratio
Light:5/5 No major issues. Sweet.
Standard:5/5 Nice and smooth. Nothing rough about this one.
Heavy:10/10 Now that was great! I still haven't played this song yet on Troopers, but you've inspired me to play it now. Great patterns. At first, I thought this was some wannabe Tino's White Horse, but you've really come original and I applaude you.
Presentation:4/5 Graphics fit the song and add to the aura the song exudes. Reminds me of murmur twins a little.
TOTAL:24/25

OTSO OTSO
Light:5/5 Perfect
Standard:5/5 Nothing wrong here.
Heavy:7/10 Steps fit the song well, but there's no place in my heart for cheesy songs.
Presentation:3/5 I'm not sure what that bus had to do with anything, but the animations say that you put thought into the file. Graphics were OK and could use a little less THICK BLACK STROKE.
TOTAL:20/25

Sunny the Ride
Light:5/5 Perfect
Standard:3/5 You treated this like it was a Light chart. There could have been a little more to it.
Heavy:9/10 Very well executed.
Presentation:4/5 Awesome graphics. Try encoding in PNG instead of jpg next time and give us a cdtitle.
TOTAL:21/25

Time To Move
Light:5/5 Perfect.
Standard:5/5 Solid. No problems.
Heavy:9/10 Really good except I'm on the fence with the 5 arrow runs. It just reminds me of ITG. I hate ITG.
Presentation:4/5 Excellent graphics. Haven't seen something like this in a while.
TOTAL:23/25

They seem to be unwritten. Anyway, sometimes very light 8ths make a Light chart better. Also, what about SOMETHING WONDERFUL Light?

Thanks guys - saved me from having to bring up the point.

I'm fed up of people preaching these "official rules" to stepping simfiles when they actually don't exist. If the song merits 8ths, include them. If you want to include corner jumps (within reason) include them.

QFT

Base your ratings on how fun the chart is; it shouldn't be over-the-top messy or difficult, but 8ths + corner jumps are sometimes quite useful even in Light charts.

Wow, Gradiusic Cyber proves that you can even have 16th double taps in a Light chart. Not like anyone would have the guts to put that in their files. That's just beastly, especially at 160 BPM.

It's from Club Mix, where the steps went a bit...weird.

It fits the song.

If it fits the song ANYTHING can work for ANY difficulty. As long as you don't be stupid with it.

Yeah check the rating on Gradiusic too though. It is a "boss song" or was back then. Ok so I'll change my gradings to full points then. Are we satisfied now. Hell let's give everyone full points so we don't hurt any feelings.

You know you can just make your own reviews to average my grades out instead of whining about how I don't think exactly like you do.
Something wonderful is a home version chart also.

the charts i posted weren't boss songs or home songs. and i don't see how that changes anything anyway.

it's not about feelings, it's about being fair.

4 minutes

light 3/5
These were okay, but felt a bit rushed and uninpiring.

standard 2.5/5
These seemed like a clone of the light chart, but with more freeze arrows and
8th runs thrown in.

heavy 7/10
It was a decent chart, but not mesmerizing.

presentation 3/5
they're a little generic, but they do tie into the theme of the song.

total: 15.5/25

dynamite

light 4/5
Interesting chart. It worked pretty well, and I like the adventurous 8th usage.

standard 4/5
A nice chart. I think this would have worked better as the heavy chart, personally.

heavy 6/10
This was a little over coooked for my tastes. I thought the 16ths were a bit overkill and some of the positioning seemed akward.

presentation 3/5
Your garphics were okay. I think they would have looked much better had you not made
the text 3-d.

total: 17/25

loveline

light 3.5/5
Not a bad chart. It was a little generic, but it worked well enough.

standard 3.5/5
A solid enoguh standard chart. It did it's job well, but nothing really stood out to me.

heavy 8/10
Intersting chart. I thought the long 8th run fit in well and was a nice touch.
What's up with the Ultramix style short freeze arrows, tho?

presentation: 2.5/5
Graphics are a bit generic, but work okay. The main gripe here is the abrupt end to your
song cut.

total: 17.5/25

oratio

light : 3.5/5
Not bad, but I think it sould have been a bit more intense, to match the music.

standard: 4/5
Pretty nice standard chart. Nothing truly mesmerizing, but a solid effort, regardless.

heavy: 9/10
This was a pretty cool chart. I especially like the gallop sections!

presentation: 3.5/5
Not the flashiest graphics, but I can see the effort put into them. Also, I would have made the
beginning 81 bpm, to match the music, and then kicked it up to 162

total: 20/25

otso otso

light 4/5
Not a bad chart. It had good variety and was interesting, on the whole.

standard 5/5
Awesome chart! I love the variety in your rhythms.

heavy 8/10
Nice chart. Followed the music well and was fairly interesing.

presentaion 3.5/5
I like the grahics, but the mp3 is pretty grainy.

total: 20.5/25

sunny the ride

light 4/5
not bad at all.

standard 4/5
Not a bad chart at all. I noticed there were no 8th runs, but it worked well enough.

heavy 8/10
Nice chart. Energetic, yet not overdone.

presentation 5/5
graphics match the song very well and look pretty nice.

total: 21/25

time to move

light 5/5
awesome light chart. I love the way you build it up to the longer streams at the end.

standard 4.5/5
Pretty good standard chart. the steps have good variety and progression.

heavy 9/10
I really like the way the difficulty in this chart progresses at the chart goes on.
Also, your step-jump sections add charater. Great job!

presentation: 5/5
Awesome graphics. Especially the bg. The slow-down worked pretty well and went with
the music well enough.
