So, those of you that are finished (or almost finished)...

How confident are you in your file? Do you think you did a good job?
It just seems like a lot of people aren't exactly happy with how their projects are turning out. I'm sure that they'll be great, but I wanted to sort of get a general idea of how people feel about their own work, and how they think they'll do in the contest.

Somewhat, but not very. I wish I got a little bit more creative with the step patterns, but I think it's a little bit too late to do drastic changes.

It's NEVER too late! Change the song to Chocolate Rain and make it nothing but purple steps!

Well, thanks to a helpful suggestion, I -just- found a song, so I'm nowhere near finished.
However, I'm confident my file will turn out pretty good. Hopefully everybody will enjoy it.

Don't really care if it takes a low spot, to be honest, I do know it's a solid file.
I'm more interested in seeing people ahead of me than behind me since that's just another person to leech off of for ideas on making myself that much better. If I get first, there's not much I'm learning...

My simfile is pretty good. It's nothing special unfortunately since I wasted so much time trying to find the right song but couldn't find anything I like (I still didn't finish the heavy steps though).
So as long it doesn't come in last place, I'll be satisfied with its ranking.

I will win.
(good first post huh)
Actually probably not, I haven't made a simfile or even really played DDR in 2 years.

I'm reasonably satisfied with what I made, although I have no idea how it will be received.

Compared to previous simfiles, I am satisfied with this one. Don't know how it'll hold up but it should fare better than past attempts.
I was going to want to sim this song anyway and decided weeks ago that I should just do it. In the end doing so made it a very enjoyable simfile for myself so that is all that matters to me, no matter where it places.

I'm pretty happy with my file. I don't really expect it to win, but I'm okay with whatever rank I get really.

I'm at a lost with my file. I don't know whether to keep it as it is right now or completely change it.

I'm debating between a couple sims that I want to submit for this one. I'm gonna test 'em out a couple more times and then I'll decide which one I want to submit.

The general way these things usually go is that the ones that say 'it sucks' or 'don't know if it's good enough' or 'don't care' are probably ones that did a nice job.
The ones that say 'hell yea my file 0wnz04zrz' are the ones that probably suck...oh and the ones that don't get finished. :\

You raise an extremely good point. I know that Spork was really hesitating to release Time to Move (BM 1.5's winner) and said he was considering pulling it.
For my part, I'm very happy with how the file turned out (hopefully not to the ironic end you mentioned
). There's a couple of minor things here and there that I wonder if people will like, but as someone previously said, as long as it doesn't come in last, I'll be happy (though I'll be even happier if it places
).
