Will having Doubles steps net any extra points?

Well, yeah, it's an extra, so it's worth points.

*starts making doubles steps*

Hey, would it hurt your score, improve your score or keep your score the same if you made beginner doubles, because there are none in DDR.

There's nothing stopping you really, but to be realistic, some beginners can't hit jumps on one pad, so how would they be able to hit arrows across two pads?

extras have never counted for extra points in best-mix AFAIK

"Tilt: +3 - Used for any reason, like extra charts or similar (This can only fill in points that the entrant missed in other areas!)"

great, can you read?

it just says you can get extra points for anything the the judge wishes, it doesn't say you will get extra points by default for putting in beginner or double steps.

Please don't !@#!$C# bout getting extras from having additional steps. Mind quality over quantity.

Yes, you can get points in the tilt for doubles steps, but points are not automatically given for anything extra you do.

Don't expect extra points if you make double steps and they're not really that good.

So, you could make 7 edits, and if they're all right, then you get 3?

if the judge feels like giving them points. you might get a judge who doesn't care at all for double steps, or doesn't believe in using the tilt for optional stepcharts.

Judging by past tournaments, most people will ignore them (a lot of people have very little experience with Double or Solo or, um, haha, Couple), which means you should spend the most time on Single Basic through Maniac.
