WEST BATTLE B2 - Greenhorn vs OTSO OTSO

by BLueSS » Sun Apr 06, 2008 12:56 am

*NEW RULE* - YOU MUST VOTE IN ALL 4 BATTLES! (Only two are up right now) - If you have a file in the top 8, you can vote, and are allowed to vote for your own.

THIS ONLY APPLIES TO ROUND 2 BATTLES!

Although OTSO OTSO had some good stuff going on, I can't support it against Greenhorn due to some sloppy presentation (BPM slowdown is offsync, graphics could improved, animations could be slicker). I hope whoever made it decides to improve it because I really enjoyed the ideas bouncing around that file.

While Greenhorn is a good file, in the end, it's just "okay". Otso Otso isn't my favorite in the competition, but I nevertheless love its goofy, charming presentation.

Greenhorn. Come on, Bye should totally have won the last round.

But seriously, yeah, Greenhorn is the more solid entry.

I like playing Greenhorn alot more than Otso Otso, so my vote goes to Greenhorn.

Greenhorn

Nothing against Otso Otso, I just personally enjoyed the charts and the song more. Maybe it's because of my years of playing pump :-S

aside from the CHEEZY  -ness, otso otso doesn't really have much else going for it (and actually i don't like cheesy stuff, so it doesn't even get that)

greenhorn is a solid file, and even though it was already in pump, i'm going to assume the steps are different since no one mentioned anything about it yet

GREENHORN

This file was surprisingly fun and offered quite a bit as a whole package. Otso Otso has poor sound quality and mediocre steps.

The steps ARE different! There's one less arrow!

Greenhorn. Both songs are too long, but Otsox2's sound quality is awful. It fails to meet a basic level of presentation, which hurts the file.

To be honest I don't really get all the hate for OTSO OTSO or its sound quality, but I suppose Greenhorn's steps are a little bit better. Kind of annoyed it went through last round instead of Secret :( But that doesn't factor into it.

Voting Greenhorn like everyone else.
