SPRING BREAK!
Posted: Sun Mar 23, 2008 11:31 am
Alas, I was so busy working on the contest that I didn't get to bed until 3:30 last night... I dosed off when all of a sudden I heard someone talking to me.
VOICE: HEY YOU
Me: What?
VOICE: YES, YOU. WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?
Me: This simfile contest thing I run.
VOICE: Well, my name is Marley, and I know that you didn't go anywhere for Spring Break so we're bringing Spring Break to you!
Me: *almost pinches myself, but I know I'm dreaming*
Marley: Here, let me help with this contest thing. /pushes me away from the computer
*** Morning ***
Me: What happened last night? Anyway, lets look at the files.
What??? Why are there 5 different groups of files? Oh look, here's a note:
"BLueSS, I randomly divided the songs into 5 groups for you. This will make it easier to find the top songs. Narrow the songs down to the TOP 3 in each bracket, and they will move on. But all of this needs to be done by Wednesday, so we can get this contest finished as quickly as possible! If it doesn't get done by Wednesday, we will have no choice but to delay the next step until this gets finished!"
-Marley
Me: Well, how am I going to get the songs rated without judges this year?
Ponders
AHA! Since the songs are in small groups, I'll have people judge a bracket, or two, or as many as they can (AS LONG AS THEY DON'T JUDGE THEIR OWN)!
But to keep the contest about feedback, all the parts of the judging criteria must be met (with comments for each part), or their scores are going to be worth half value.
If everyone judges a bracket or 2, we should have plenty of feedback... and these are small brackets.
SO IT IS THE TASK OF YOU, ENTRANTS OF BEST-mix 1.5, TO JUDGE EACH OTHER'S FILES.
Besides, you don't have anything else to do now that your files are in... right?
