BEST-mix #5.1 - FINAL-ER (Simfile Revision Thread)
After seeing some of the comments on some of my files, I felt that there was some good criticism that I could incorporate into my files, particularly my ITG ones. I figured I'd make a thread and see if anyone else felt similarly.
One caveat here though: do not post files that are still alive in the tournament. Don't want to taint the results.

The Day that the Earth Stalled
Changes:
- Hard - mine stream now has a 5/16 beat gap instead of 1/4 beat.
- Hard - a few misplaced mines in the mine stream cleaned up.
- Hard - all mines now have at least a 3/16 beat gap.
- Expert - Completely redone as a legitimate 11-footer. Short sixteenth note bursts to the drums, and no long death runs.
- Edit - Old Expert chart is now rated 13. Maybe consider it a keyboard chart instead.
- Graphics - Text fits in ITG curved songwheel.

A crossbeats REV. stream? On Twitch? It's more likely than you think!

Both files are a LOT better after your revisions, wow! I quite love The Day That the Earth Stalled's new 11-block expert steps, and I can finally appreciate the creative genius of Please Play This Song on the Radio's legitimate expert chart; i.e., I'd probably rate it 10/10 instead of 1/10 for expert steps.

I never expected anyone to like PPTS for legitimate reasons, or I might have taken it seriously. :)

It looks like they...
Just got ARABIA'd.
Anyway, I better fix that joke chart and lessen the bullshit in that file :v
We're all soldiers now.

I really like the idea. Let me come clean with my entries, too.

- Sync
- ...that's basically it, but it was a huge issue. I have no idea how I could miss out on this problem before. Anyways, the sync is much better now in my opinion.
ONE CLICK HEADSHOT
Changes:
- Shifted difficulties (H->C, M->H, L->M)
- New Light stepchart
- Changed now-Challenge chart from ITG to DDR style
- Got rid of most of the jacks (they were supposed to be the signature thing of this file, but I can see how I may have overdone it. Now there are not many of them left!)

Totalimmortal is up. Yeah, I know it's still alive, but a) I don't expect to win, not even close and b) no one will see it if I wait any longer.
It's mostly just improved audio quality. If the sync was too far off for your tastes before, it won't be any better now.

Regarding your Totalimmoral update, to be honest, I don't think this cut sounds any different length-wise. I take it you were intending to start it right on the first drum hit, but you still have that "rain shower" clip at the beginning, and so your new gap causes the steps to be incredibly early. The sample start is now off, too; again, that's probably due to the unintended mistake in the cut.
Re: BEST-mix #5.1 - FINAL-ER (Simfile Revision Thread)
The cut shouldn't sound different length-wise, but the transition from the verse to the chorus is probably a tenth of a second shorter, eliminating the need to dip quite so low (although it's still not exactly in time, because there's no drums there).
EDIT: Re-uploaded. I took a look at it, and used math to make sure the offset and sample start are no worse than before. Since my Stepmania only gives me hundredth-second precision in the editor (I've seen thousandth; not sure if that's a theme thing or a version thing), it could be up to 10 ms different after the verse transitions to the chorus, but I'd bet it's less than that.
