Regarding your reviews, for CALIFORNIA GURLS Heavy there's a pretty long section within the chart where, if you play it with a mindset that you want to avoid double-stepping, you will succeed! And for a fairly long time at that.
Black - Natural way you could play the chart without double-stepping
Red - Unavoidable double-step
Green - Way I intended the section to be played
Blue - Way I found to avoid double-stepping, although may be stretching it a bit
So, based on this, you can avoid any possible double-stepping for the first 38 measures of playing the chart! And fter just
1 unavoidable double-step, you should be set for the rest of the chart (besides the iffy blue sections). The green area was probably the riskiest part, because I realized that it'd either be a hit or miss. People would either see that in their first attempt at the song, take a second look to find out they're
not actually spins, rather crossovers, or not see the trick in the step pattern at all, so it doesn't surprise me that a different review had already mentioned the green area as the "spins". I kinda wanted to post this regardless if you were referring to this section or not because I knew some people wouldn't notice this had no one pointed it out.
