Discuss in this thread. :)
(Old stuff below)

COMMUNITY PACK!
For the first time in a BEST-mix tournament, there will be a Community Pack!
Anyone can submit ONE simfile to the community pack, to be released at the end of bracket 2/start of the final round.
These files have *no rules* and *no restrictions*. Make whatever file you want, however you want to make it. DDR style does not matter, nor song limits, it's free game!
NONE OF THESE FILES ARE IN THE TOURNAMENT, and CANNOT WIN BEST-mix 3!
However, just like previous tournaments, we have had Popular Vote to find out which file was "the most fun" or "best doubles steps", etc... the community pack and the BEST-mix 3 files are all eligible for these awards.
The award categories will be released at the same time as the pack, and recommendations to what categories should be included can be posted here. I will try to pick a good variety to make this enjoyable.
The goal is to keep people interested a little longer, while allowing authors to show off files that are not allowed due to the tournament rules. It's supposed to be a fun addon, not something separate to take away or distract from BEST-mix 3.
Hopefully everything about these two parts makes sense, if not ask away! :D[/size]
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: In an attempt to get one or two more files, I am opening Bracket 2 to late entries who were originally registered, but did not finish yet. *Deadline is Tuesday at Midnight (PST).*
All files received late will get an automatic 2-point deduction from their round 1 score (max of 25) and will be in a "late bracket" addon with Bracket 2. Additionally, if a "late file" moves on from the bracket to the finals, the next non-late song that would have moved on (had the late file not been entered) will ALSO move on. Therefore, a late file can move on; but cannot keep anyone else from moving on as a result of it being entered. Once in the finals, it's fair game and no restrictions apply.
I know many people rushed files to get the deadline, and this narrow time limit (just over 24 hours) is NOT intended to give anyone late time to work on it and make it good. I believe the restrictions/penalties above are fair in allowing people who may have missed the deadline (such as being gone on vacation) to still submit their file.
