Regarding the rules
So is it an absolute MUST that you've entered a simfile into a previous simfile contest? I have not, but I'd really like to participate.

No, it is not an absolute must. I went ahead and reworded the entry thread that talked about the requirements.
Basically all it is, is prove you're not someone who has already entered. Since there is a prize involved, this is a simple measure to keep people from entering twice. I know who you are, so there's absolutely no problem with you entering.
