Entry: f߂̉ / Presentation - 6 / 20 The cut didn't work out too well for me-- its a bit too draggy given how it proceeded (especially towards the last part of the song, where I get the sinking feeling of the song going on and on), which will pretty much affect how this will turn out in the end. The graphics were okay, and although I personally thought that it was a bit of a lazy call picking out a screencap from the video, it did work out quite well (anyway, this is countered by the nice video script). Granted, you had some additional stepchats here, but playing them, they weren't too good (except for the Singles Beginner chart, the other extra charts [Doubles] weren't very good to play-- they were very much like the Singles charts anyway, and didn't exactly flow very well). It may appeal to a fairly wide variety of players, but they might be disappointed when they play the actual stepcharts. Steps (no Oni) Light Chart - 1 / 5 Very uninteresting. To some extent, you managed to match the energy of the song, with some of the runs in the stepchart, but they weren't enough, considering the way the steps were used (too religious-- there wasn't any real energy in the steps; in most cases, it just felt like a long march). The patterns also seemed to be a bit too much for Light (almost 300, in around 1:46 of gameplay)-- you should have tried to balance this out a bit instead of following the sounds too much. Standard Chart - 2 / 10 Felt like a Heavy chart, given your heavy, heavy use of 8th-note pattens (and over-all step-density-- ~420 steps in 1:46 is overkill for Standard, no matter how you look at it-- the song really wasn't intense enough to warrant the incredible step density). This would have fared better if the steps were really fun to play, but after playing them, they felt more like a dignified march, without any real energy-- you followed the sounds too much. However, the patterns that you selected are good picks, and you get credit to that. What you should do now is to look for good ways to use the patterns you chose-- its the arrangement that needs work, and you really have to try to "feel the song" in order to find a way to use those patterns. As it is, boring. Heavy Chart - 3 / 15 Okay... the steps followed the sounds even further and this chart, and the problems from the easier charts were aggravated by the increased step density. The way you used the steps was still uninteresting, and here, it gets worse with the additional of a new step variety-- consecutive jumps!!! These really didn't do anything to advance the steps, and like the rest of the steps, felt highly extraneous. My suggestion here would be the same as the other charts-- look for better arrangements for the patterns you selected-- the patterns are sound, but the arrangement is NOT.
